ST. VINCENT DE PAUL’S LIGHTS ON PROGRAM
St. Vincent de Paul’s Lights On Program assists hundreds of men and women released onto the streets from the O.C. jail during the overnight hours. Men and women exit the jail with the same clothing they were arrested in or in some cases have no clothing and are given jail issued paper jump suits. In either case, it is not enough to protect them from the chill of the winter night while Lights On volunteers search their resources for getting them safely off the streets. Warm clothing donations are greatly needed especially during these winter months. Of particular immediate need are new or used, jackets, sweaters or sweat outfits. If you can help contact the St. Vincent de Paul Center at 714-542- 0448, 1505 E. 17st. Suite 109, Santa Ana, CA. 92705

MAKE A DIFFERENCE FOR THE TERMINALLY ILL
The Hospice Program of St. Joseph Hospital is seeking volunteers for its training program. Volunteers are needed to bring support and comfort to someone facing their final stage of life. Volunteers offer respite to care givers, run errands, and provide transportation for appointments, socialization, light housekeeping, and spiritual support. Bilingual speakers are needed but not required, and you must attend all of the training sessions. Trainings are held in the Orange office, 1845 W. Orangewood Ave., Ste 100 A, Orange, Ca, 92868. For more information please call Joan Kasewitch, Volunteer Service Manager, at 714.712.7122 or jkasewit@stjoe.org. Please reach out and be a friend to someone in need and help make his or her final journey a meaningful experience.

ATTENTION TRAVELERS
Do you have small amounts of foreign money that you’re not going to use? The Society of the Propagation of the Faith office at the Diocese of Orange collects these coins and currency and donates them to missionaries. If you would like to participate, please deliver your foreign money to the Parish Center. Thank you.

HELPING THE FAMILIES OF OUR WOUNDED WARRIORS

Please make checks payable to Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, and mail them to Attn. Mrs. Deana Progar, c/o St. Edward Church, 33926 Calle La Primavera, Dana Point, 92629.
